Vent your Spleen!

If you're a regular ACC-er you'll know that our hallmark Aggression Session and lunchtime forum is where all the debating action happens.

This year, we're changing it up a little.

We'll still have the Aggression Session at 12noon - but this time the speaker will only speak for 30 minutes...then it's over to you!

Led by our host John Cleary, you'll have 30 seconds to comment, disagree, or expand on what you've just heard in the Aggression Session.

Collect your thoughts, and beware of the buzzer - you'll need to be succinct in your responses.

We'll still have a panel to further open up the discussion, but if you want to say your piece, then the Vent your Spleen session is the place to be.

See you there!

Hear Commissioner Knaggs!

On Saturday of ACC06:Free 11 a.m. our new Commissioner, James Knaggs will come and share his heart and vision.

This is an 'all in' session - all delegates and visitors invited.

If you can only come for one day, Saturday may be a good choice - $40 for the day and will give you a 'taste' of what ACC is all about.

What is ACC?

ACC is a conversation, teaching forum and worship experience that emerged from Box Hill Corps in Melbourne.

At the time we noticed that for years Salvos had been attending great conferences run by other denominations and we asked, 'What was there for Salvos to attend to dialogue about Salvation Army issues?'

When the answer came back, 'Not much', ACC was born. Now in its sixth year ACC has become a focal point for Salvationists who are passionate about the future of The Salvation Army and are willing to ask and discuss hard questions about our faith and ministry.

Welcome to ACC06:Free

Welcome to ACC06:Free

In our thematic planning for this year's ACC we've been challenged by H. L. Menkel's quote: 'Most people don't want to be free, they simply want to be safe.'

It's a disturbing statement that cuts to the heart of our private motivations; do we want to be free or would, as Menkel suggests, we rather the comfort of safety?

This question will for the foundation of ACC06 teaching and conversation as we examine the actions and attitudes of our faith and ministry.

We invite you to join with other like-minded Salvationists at ACC06. Keep a lookout on this web site for information regarding the conference as well as thought-starter blog entries.
